Edinburgh is overlooked by the magnificent Edinburgh Castle. Situated at top of the popular ‘Royal Mile’ Edinburgh Castle dates back to the 12th century. The crown jewels of Scotland are secure in the castle guarded by the ‘Mons Meg’ – the six-tonne siege gun from the 1400s.
